How your Mental State affects your ability to achieve an Erection
Mental state has everything to do with your erection. The number one requirement to be able to achieve an erection, is that both your body and mind are relaxed. If you are nervous or tense, nine out of ten times you will not achieve an erection…this is called sexual performance anxiety, or just plain old sexual anxiety.
In almost all cases, you need to have established at least some level of comfort with the object of your desire. At some point it might need to be just a joke, or a feeling of understanding, that will be enough for you to feel comfortable, and achieve an erection.
I’ve had situations where I had difficulty achieving an erection during a first sexual encounter with somebody. This was due to not having established a comfortable connection with the person. I was concentrating too much on my performance, and not enough on getting to know this person on a more comfortable level. This caused that most hated sexual performance anxiety.
However, as the emotional comfort between us grew, so did the ability for me to achieve an erection. And the more and more emotional comfort, the more and more erections.
Although some people can have erections with people they don’t know anything about (its happened a few times with me), most of the time, you need to at least know something about this person and have some level of understanding.
The more the comfort and understanding, the easier it is to achieve an erection with this person, and the less interference from sexual anxiety.
Erection strengthening exercises are good to keep your unit in top physical condition, and to allow it to respond quickly to the mental signal. But without the mental part, you will not have an erection.
To strengthen the psychological part behind having an erection, as well as strengthening your sexual drive and erections, you really should take a look at my guide. I’ve outlined everything you need to know to keep your penis in top shape (to overcome physical erectile dysfunction), along with any and all methods of overcoming sexual performance anxiety.
